Volunteer Now for World Book Night

WBN logo in headlineIf you live in the United Kingdom, and you love books, than I suggest you “show the love” by popping over to the World Book Night website and apply to be a World Book Night volunteer. The application deadline is January 31st so time is ticking away, but luckily it takes less time to volunteer than it did for me to write this post.

What is World Book Night?

World Book Night is an annual celebration of reading and books that takes place on 23 April. It sees passionate volunteers give out hundreds of thousands of books in their communities to share their love of reading with people who don’t read regularly or own books.

Like most people one day Wesley will die. Until then though, Wesley spends his days drinking coffee, watching the telly, trying to figure out politics and listening to BBC Radio... and on the days he is at work watching trains under the ground. Away from work he putters around in the kitchen, tends to his fish, watches films and occasionally reads a book, or works in his garden. Wesley is also a keen father to his two little princesses, and a slave to his wife.
